Vice Presidents of Global Purchasing Panel

PANEL OVERVIEW
The transformation of the global automotive industry is well under way and is shaped by three key forces: electric vehicles and alternative powertrains; connected and autonomous vehicles; and on-demand mobility services. These areas of focus are spearheading change in an industry that hasn’t seen this level of transformation in more than a century. Sectors are being disrupted and new markets are emerging, which is creating ground-floor opportunities for African American suppliers and the OEMs with whom they engage. Those enterprises that experience the greatest success moving forward will likely be those that truly understand the impact and timing of disruption and seize the right emerging opportunities.

This panel will provide a platform for substantive conversations about how OEMs intend to continue building on the positive momentum of partnering with African American organizations and the ways in which the expansive transformation of EVs will offer entry point opportunities.
