The Swinging Pendulum of Diversity

Our most recent research paper, titled "The Swinging Pendulum of Diversity," looks at how diversity's definition has changed over the past 60 years. What was once a concept to increase African American participation has now morphed into a idea that looks to increase participation of Hispanics, women, the LGBT community, and to a lesser degree, veterans and the disabled.

Some of the paper's highlights include:

  • Diversity efforts benefit white women more than any other demographic
  • Studies that show how and why white men feel threatened by diversity
  • African American women only make up 2 percent of the executives from Ford, General Motors and FCA Chrysler
  • And many other topics
